UKTL, Ericsson and NCSC address vulnerability in Packet Core Controller
In collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Ericsson, the UK Telecoms Lab (UKTL) helped identify and resolve a vulnerability in Ericsson’s Packet Core Controller (PCC) – a key component in 4G and 5G mobile networks. Proactive action ensured continued resilience of services that underpin everyday life, from enabling businesses to process payments to helping people stay connected and access essential services.
This work reflects UKTL’s mission to strengthen the security and resilience of the UK’s connectivity infrastructure.
