UKTL Managing Director joins WM RDSC inaugural Advisory Board

West Midlands Regional Defence and Security Cluster (WM RDSC) has today announced its inaugural Advisory Board.

Joanna Cavan OBE, Managing Director at the UK Telecoms Lab (UKTL), joins the board that brings together experienced leaders from defence, industry, academia and innovation to help guide RDSC’s next phase of development.

The Board will provide strategic advice, challenge and advocacy, strengthen connections across the regional defence and security ecosystem, and help champion the West Midlands’ capabilities and opportunities nationally and internationally.

UKTL, operated by NPL, delivers advanced vulnerability research and testing to secure the UK’s critical national telecoms infrastructure.

On this appointment, Joanna Cavan said: “The RDSC is a great initiative to help organisations in the West Midlands to connect with the defence and security community in order to showcase their capabilities and strengthen the region’s contribution to UK security and defence”
